On the first Wednesday in May, Albertans are invited to wear a hat to raise awareness of the importance of good mental health.

A.C.T.S. is a parent-led prayer group that convenes to pray for various things related to the students and staff here at Menno. Children are welcome to join. "Sherlock Holmes and the 1st Baker Street Irregular"

On a dare from her fellow street urchins, 14-year-old Wiggins tries to pickpocket a strange old man. Not only is Wiggins unsuccessful, but the old man, who is actually Sherlock Holmes in disguise, manages to take the gold ring that was in Wiggins’ pocket and leave behind a note directing her where to go to get it back. When Wiggins goes to 221B Baker Street to retrieve the ring, she is shocked to find out how much Holmes knows about her based on a quick observation. After Wiggins sees Holmes use the ring to solve a case, Wiggins proposes to work as his assistant. Intrigued by her potential, Holmes agrees to begin training Wiggins on a trial basis, so long as she helps Mrs. Hudson with the chores. Wiggins and Holmes must learn to trust each other as Wiggins and her group of street urchins help him solve two dangerous mysteries: The Red Headed League and The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle.

Parents are invited to join us for Friday chapels at 8:35am in the school gymnasium. Park your car after drop off, come in, and find a seat as we spend time as a community worshipping together. Watch your memos for detailed information on chapel topics and who is presenting.

• If your child has outgrown their school uniform it can be donated to the school! Uniforms can be dropped off at the front door.

• Used uniforms are sold during Used Uniform Sales with all proceeds going to the Uniform Bursary to help families in need at our school. Used Uniforms sell for $5 - $30 depending on the item.
